Pumpkin Carving Contest: A Spooktacular Showcase of Creativity!

As Halloween approaches, North Carolina Virtual Academy (NCVA) gets into the spooky spirit with a Pumpkin Carving Contest organized by the SkillsUSA club. This exciting event encourages students to submit their best pumpkin carvings and show us how creative they can be! 

The result? A virtual patch of extraordinary pumpkins, each one carved and decorated to impress! Ranging from a culinary pumpkin to a cosmetology pumpkin, the competition was fierce. 

Ms.Mac shares her enthusiasm for the event saying “I could not have been more proud of my students who decided to participate in our activity. They showed true creativity in expressing the theme of “Skills” and true courage in their willingness to submit for judging.”.

Celebrating our Winner! 

After reviewing all the beautiful pumpkins submitted, we are thrilled to announce Alexis and her nursing assistant pumpkin as the competition winners. Her carving featured an intricate design of a nurse, a needle, and a stethoscope. She earned the top spot and will represent NCVA at the state-level competition! Congratulations to Alexis on this well-deserved win.
