How To Enroll
Enrollment for the 2022–2023 school year is closed.
OPEN ENROLLMENT
For the upcoming school year, North Carolina Virtual Academy (NCVA) has an enrollment cap set by the state. Seats will be selected by lottery from the applications submitted between February 28, 2022, and April 8, 2022. Applicants not selected in the lottery will be placed on our waitlist. Seat offers will be extended throughout the school year as space becomes available.
Families that applied during the lottery window were sent an email notifying them of their status following the lottery drawing in April. This email explained the next steps on how to enroll, which included creating a parent portal account. Families can also log into their account on the lottery website and see their application status and lottery results.
Families that did not apply during the lottery window may now submit an application for the 2022–2023 school year. Once all documentation is submitted, applicants will be added to the waitlist and notified when a space becomes available. You may request your student's wait list position by emailing info@ncvacademy.org with your student's name and grade level. This information will be available starting in early June.

Five Simple Steps to Enroll
Create Parent Account
The Parent Portal provides access to your online application, real-time alerts, and quick links to important info.
Submit an Application
Once you've begun an application in the Parent Portal, click the option to add a new student or continue with your application. Simply fill in the fields with your child's information, select the school you wish your child to attend, and hit Submit.
Upload Additional Documents
In this step, you'll provide more detailed information about your child and upload additional documents, such as proof of residency and a birth certificate. For a list of specific documents that will be required, contact our enrollment consultants at 855.669.3660.
Attend Enrollment Webinar
All families participate in a pre-recorded webinar with an enrollment consultant. Additional documents may be required to complete your enrollment, depending on your student's situation, and will be provided within your Parent Portal.
Welcome to Stride K12!
Once all documents have been approved, you student will then obtain a seat, if available, or be placed on the wait list. When a seat becomes available, the enrollment center will reach out to you to formally offer a seat.
Please note due to our enrollment capacity, your student may be wait listed. We recommend having another educational plan in place for your student until a seat is offered to you.
